One Design Keel: Record Turnout for Martin 242 NAs

With a few yet to contact or hear back from our polling campaign, there are already 39 boats registered for the 2025 North American M242 Championships 45th Anniversary, August 23 to 24, 2025 in Vancouver co-hosted by  Royal Vancouver Yacht Club and the Kitsilano Yacht Club

 We think we might hit 40 boats as a stretch target.

Teams are coming from Los Angeles, Anacortes, Orcas Island, Victoria, Nanaimo, Gibsons, Nelson, Vancouver and Port Moody.

This will be the biggest turnout since 2007 when the fleet fielded 36 boats. More racing sailors are buying M242s and the racing community growth is a result of its ongoing Marketing Campaign extolling the virtues (and low cost) of the Martin 242 Class.  They have 30 volunteers in the Pacific Northwest Region and another 5 in the Los Angeles area, assisting with all aspects of running a 125-boat organization up and down the Coast.

26 boats at the 2025 Maritime Bluenose Championship

A total of 26 boats took part in the 2025 Maritime Bluenose Championship held August 2-3 at Chester Yacht Club. Congratulations to team Miss Behaviour (Ross Romney), winner of the competition, followed by teams Spectre (Evan Pelley-Jones) and Rebel (Tom Murphy).
