Sarah Douglas Qualifies Canada for a Spot at the Paris 2024 Olympics
Toronto’s Sarah Douglas qualified a spot for Canada in ILCA 6 at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the first one in sailing for the country, while finishing in 24th position overall at the 2023 Sailing World Championships, held until Sunday in The Hague, Netherlands.

Canadian sailors are getting their first opportunity to qualify spots for the country and/or themselves at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games – and potentially could become the very first confirmed Canadian athletes to qualify to be nominated for Team Canada for Paris 2024.

Nomination forms can be filled online through Sail Canada’s Rolex Sailor of the Year Award page on Sail Canada’s website. Nominees will be individuals who, since September 15, 2022, have shown a significant involvement in activities which provided global recognition to Canadian sailing and Sail Canada.

Severn II Update

Sarah Douglas 5th at Paris 2024 Test Event
National Team member Sarah Douglas from ABYC, Toronto took the 5th position overall, Saturday, in ILCA 6 at the Paris 2024 Test Event held this week in Marseille, France, at the venue that will host the Olympic sailing competition in nearly one year at the Games.
