Ray & Annie Parsons, and Craig Strand were recognized as the inaugural Life Members with speeches and toasts to their great contributions to the Fleet from the very beginning!  There will be more Fleet 1 Life Members recognized at future Fleet Captain Dinners including Don & Annabelle Martin who will be honored at the October Fleet Captain’s dinner!

During the Awards Ceremony we recognized exceptional sailing talent, skills improvement, best helmswoman, and volunteer contributions, among others, and shared anecdotes from some of the season’s highlights.

The Back in Black team

Trophies were issued to the winners as well as keeper prizes consisting of 6 beautiful M242 sailing bags hand-made by Matt Alexander from a M242 jib as well as 14 jib halyards donated by Rekord/Victory Marine!

•           Philip Cragg, Back in Black Team (Todd Pearce, John Baker, Andrew French, Randy Vogel) – Multiple Winners that include the M242 North American’s, BC Championships, Martin’s Bell (KYC top boat) and Overall Fleet Champions!

•           Mike Cannon, Crown Royale (Fleet 2) – North American’s Most Improved

•           Michael Clements, Too Wicked – Sportsman of the Year

•           Brenda Van Fossen, Mine – Female Helmsperson of the Year

•           Mathieu Henry, Woodstock – Most Improved

•           Adrienne Mennell – Volunteer of the Year

•           Jim Hyslop, 2nd Wind – Wednesday Night Series Winner

•           Troy Topnick, Christian Bligh – Thursday Night Series Winner

•           Erica Crilly, Scarlett – Biggest Blood Blunder Award
