RVYC Women’s Invitational Starts Friday

Royal Vancouver YC has introduced its inaugural Women’s Invitational Regatta! We’re inviting 10 teams from local Clubs to race in teams of three for the chance to be crowned the Women’s Champions of 2023.

The Women’s Invitational Regatta will take place September 23 and 24 in English Bay and all teams will race on RVYC’s fleet of Elliott 6m boats. “We’re so excited about the influence women have had on the sport of sailing and encourage women of all ages and experience to get involved”.

SinC RVYC Womens Invitational 2 400The Elliott 6M is a 6.18m, 600kg boat described as a modern, dynamic, high stability, International One Design 6 metre keelboat ideal for use in class racing. It served as Olympic women’s Keelboat Class at the London Olympics 2012.
