Having successfully organised the 2021 Racing Season, we are getting ready for 2022. The dates are set, NOR’s are being crafted, and logistics are well in hand. We are also planning to host some webinars this winter which will be of interest to our racers. They were quite popular last year – just check the Sailing in Canada Calendar. LOOR events are in GREY.

LO300 – Lake Ontario 300:           Saturday, July 16, 2022 – 300 NM

Lake Ontario Short-Handed Racing Series (LOSHRS):

Race #1 – Course Race              Sunday, June 05, 2022 – 16 NM

Race #2 – Coastal Race             Saturday, June 18, 2022 – 28 NM

Race #3 – Coastal Race             Sunday, June 19, 2022 – 28 NM

Race #4 – Long Distance           Saturday, August 20, 2022 – 81 NM

Race #5 – PCYC to DYC            Saturday, September 17, 2022 – 25 NM

Race #6 – DYC to PCYC            Sunday, September 18, 2022 – 25 NM

Some information on the races:

LO300 – The Lake Ontario 300 Challenge has been held since 1990, providing an opportunity to circumvent Lake Ontario.

LOSHRS – The Lake Ontario Short Handed Racing Series (LOSHRS) has been held since 1975, providing the opportunity to sail single handed or double handed on Lake Ontario.

SHTR – The Susan Hood Trophy Race has been held since 1955, providing the opportunity for a 75 NM overnight distance race on western Lake Ontario from Port Credit Yacht Club (PCYC) and finishing at PCYC.
